Michisada Kamata,
Chairperson of the Kyushu
Economy International
The worldwide trend of the globalization of economy requires businesses to be more flexible and more active to meet the demand of the diverse needs from the international markets.

The Kyushu Economy International (KEI) is established as the organ that takes up the responsibility of the strategic part of the internationalization of Kyushu, as well as the actual implementation of these plans. Its ultimate aim is to promote the dynamism of Kyushu through economic exchange with foreign countries. Locally, this will be achieved by bringing Kyushu's economic organizations, local authorities and private enterprises together to take part, and thereby strengthening them.

By introducing the attractive features of Kyushu to the world as well as by inviting more domestic and overseas enterprises into Kyushu, we have launched the organization to develop and expand Kyushu into the world, in collaboration with Asian nations.
