Kyushu located in the southwestern part of Japan, consists of a main island and many small surrounding islands and is divided into seven prefectures: Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki and Kagoshima. The region was named “Kyushu,” which literally means ‘nine states,’ because until around the end of 19th century, it was divided into nine administrative areas. Kyushu is situated at the center of East Asia and is geographically close to Republic of Korea and China.
As well, it provides an excellent business environment, with temperate climate and little damage from natural7 disasters, such as from winter snows and earthquakes.
