| Techniques for wooden structure in Miyazaki, which is the largest producer of cedars in Japan.
|
Theme
of the tour:
There are six buildings of a wooden structure that were built by
utilizing straight laminated timbers made of local cedar timber.
When these buildings were built we used traditional methods combined
with the latest techniques; e.g. at joints that metal materials
were avoided as much as possible. In the lounge there are some displays
showing what the study achieved and some books on timbers. |
