| Shoudai ware, with a four hundred year history. You can also see the firing of a climbing kiln.
|
Theme
of the tour:
We use the local clay to maintain our traditions. You can see our
ceramic wares being made on a potter’s wheel. You can also see the
firing of a climbing kiln if your schedule permits. The firing is
carried out seven or eight times per year. There are various types
of wares at the show-shop section with new works including cups
and small dishes for everyday-use as well as vases for gifts. Koshodai
ware and others are displayed in the exhibition room and reference
room, which are both located on the second floor. |
